Hello, and thank you for being here.
You’re not many — at least not yet — but some of you have been following this blog, reading along, quietly. And I wanted to start by saying thank you. Truly.
When this blog began, it was rooted in Albania.
A place we loved deeply, and that gave us far more than we expected. But as time passed, something shifted. We realised that being already “this far” made us curious to keep going — not just geographically, but creatively too.
Since then, Val, Vaya and I have travelled through Bulgaria and Romania, and soon we’ll be heading to Budapest… and many more locations !
Along the way, I was surprised — and genuinely moved — by how many people were interested in what we were sharing. In the places we passed through, but also in the thoughts, reflections, and slower moments in between.
That curiosity, both yours and mine, made me want to write more.
More freely.
More openly.
Without limiting the blog to one country or one format.
So this is why Beyond Wandering was born.
This new space will still be about travel — very much so — but not only. It’s an extension of the journey. A place where I can let my mind wander a little further, and where the stories can grow beyond borders.
